About Monroe County Ag in the Classroom
What is Ag in the Classroom?
Ag in the Classroom (AITC) is our program with Illinois Ag in the Classroom to teach grade school students about where their food comes from, careers in agriculture, nutritional facts, and healthy eating, and to meet farmers. Our coordinator, Meghan Polacek, works with teachers to provide lessons, hands-on experiences, and science experiments on agriculture to local students. In-person or drop-off lessons are offered to Kindergarten through 5th grade.
I’m a teacher. How do I schedule a visit or request resources?
